June 2, 2015 Happenings

The day started out slow but picked up as it progressed. Not sure exactly what happened but we're thrilled-we have a new painter. That is definitely a step in the right direction. We went back to the house late this afternoon to get the girls fed and then left them while we went and had some dinner. They must have had a barking good time-when we came home the wood and tile had been delivered!

                          Something will be happening tomorrow.

             Back at the motel this afternoon I got to sew some more                                         along with a lot of pressing!
                                           

336 Half Square Triangles! A pack of layer cakes-42 and 42 10 " squares of background.

They will more than likely go home in this condition-not sure I can lay them out here. This will make several smaller quilts-don't need a queen size with these prints. After I pressed all these I started making HST using 2 charm packs-one print and one solid. Have one more set to do. I am working on "Jennifer" from the book 3 times the charm book 2. I want to make it bigger so 2 print packs and 2 solids.

In case you think the girls are suffering in the motel. No way!

One other event today-Galen was on his way to his DR's appointment, had a flat tire. At least he could get the car to the parking lot where the office was. But the office was a good walk from where he left the car. She thought he was in good shape after that walk, especially for someone who will be 70 in 2 weeks!
