I guess this is what happens when one has been in a house for 15 years! This is the longest period of time I have lived in one place. 10 years before that and we were renting that place in Taiwan. They did do some re modeling for us there too! We decided it was time to upgrade the kitchen. Yes, it was a nice kitchen but the more we thought about it the more we decided something should be done so we could enjoy the "stuff". And while we have normally done most of the work ourselves in our previous homes, we didn't want to now. We made arrangements with a design company in 'Georgetown, they came out, looked it over and came up with a plan. So we are totally gutting the kitchen and it will be a complete redo! I do have pictures of the before, but need to find the attachment to download them on to this computer! So you are getting the pics I took with my camera phone today! True to their word they were here by 8:30 this morning and the work began. The laundry room was the first to get cleaned out! The kitchen was next.

More of the hanging cabinets and some of the counter. Stove island has a;ready disappeared!
You can see where the sink was. The refrigerator will go out on the porch in the morning. The open doorway on the right is the corner pantry, also will be disappearing. the last of the upper cabinets and block windows also going!

The girls have found another couch for sleeping or generally just staying out of the way!
